I got 2 chickens, Rhode island red hybrids, i was told they can lay 1 aday, mine have a different agenda, yesterday 4 eggs, today 5 eggs, 19 eggs since last Wednesday, is this normal or am i doing something wrong

Greetings from Kansas, stuee, and ! Glad you joined our community! I really don't have an explanation for how prolific your hens are being....it doesn't seem possible. But as long as the eggs keep coming I guess I wouldn't worry! That's quite a number of eggs in that time frame for just 2 chickens. Are you sure no one is playing a practical joke on you? (Wouldn't be the first time we've seen that happen.) Are you gathering their eggs every day?

Sorry, but unless you have some very extraordinary chickens, I agree that something fishy might be going on.
