New duck mom here! Thought I’d say hi and introduce my little quackers Sirius Quack, Duck Norris, Quackie Chan, and Quackhead I had originally planned to raise chickens but after a lot of research (about a years worth) I decided I wanted to start with ducks first. Well I finally pulled the trigger and got four little ducklings about 2ish weeks ago from TSC and y’all I’m so in love they’ve been so much fun so far! As a first time duck owner, I’m not familiar with breeds. I was hoping somebody might be able to tell me what kind of babies I’m raising and an approximate age? I’m thinking somewhere around 3-4 weeks based on what I’ve read. TIA!

3-4 week old Pekins! , May possibly be a White Layer, Either way, you have a big white fluff ball on the way.

I'm so glad you chose ducks, and i'm sure that you have pekin ducklings. In my experience they are very tame and docile birds so they must be tons of fun to be around! Congrats on your new ducklings.

I hope you are not feeding them layer feed, most duckling starter feed's do not come in pellet form.

Yes, but I believe all flock feed is intended to be fed around the age of 6-8 weeks. I will check.
