Hi Everyone! I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY, and am living the country life in North Carolina on 3 acres for the past several years! I recently purchased 11 chicks which were delivered in late June of this year and consist of 3 white Leghorns, 3 black Austrolorps, 3 Rhode Island Reds and 2 production types (I don't know what breed they are). I also have been beekeeping for 2 years as well and currently have 3 hives (lost 5 hives last year); so the strongest survived. I want to introduce my young great nephews and nieces to chickens and livestock up close and personal when they come down to spend time with me. Next year will be goats (either Nigerian Dwarf and/or Pygmy) for their smaller size. I look forward to learning and sharing on this forum.
