I have a happy flock of 2 Golden Comets, 2 Cornish Game hens, 2 Old English hens, and a strapping Old English Roo and one very vain peahen! I am a newlywed as of November 5, 2011 and our birds are only part of the family of critters that we have running around that include 2 very spoiled dogs, 2 Fainting Goats, 3 Tennessee Walkers, our pond of Koi, a "lucky" cat, and my 17 year old cockatiel. My sweet husband, who has infinite patience, and I both work at the nuclear station nearby and since we were married, I now have a 9 year old daughter to add to the mix! Life is nice and full! I grew up with horses and dogs but the chickens are new to me and they have brought a lot of fun, entertainment, and eggs to our life. I'm hoping to go home today and find some new fuzzy additions in the nest box!
