I'm pretty new to keeping chickens although I have always wanted them. There was a law in my town keeping me from getting any but it lately changed! One week ago I got four adorable little chicks 2 Ameracaunas,1 buff orpington, and 1 black sex link. So far my favorite aspect of raising chickens has been getting them used to me and holding them as they fall asleep. It's just absolutely adorable!
My hobbies aside from chicks are fish keeping, gardening, horse back riding, and carpentry!
I live at home with my brother and parents. I've got four dogs (1 dachshund, one lab/boxer mix, and two German shepherd/bull terrier mixes), 1 dwarf hamster, many goldfish, plecos, Bettas, and a pea puffer. I'm an equine vet tech and also a carpenter!
I've known about the BYC community for a few years but decided to join once I finally got some chicks of my own
