Howdy from the cornfields and soy fields of Kansas! A friend introduced me to this site and though a bit late on the intro, I'm Jeremy. Born and raised on a farm, started raising chickens in 7th grade from an incubation project, and recently got back into it.

Whewee, I forgot how much of an adventure it was lol.

But my new family are 2 Rhode Island Reds (Bertha and Elizabeth), 1 Sussex (PeeWee), and I believe, 3 Barnevelders (Red, Victoria, and Mary Mac). I also have 2 ducks, that I think are a Pekin (Dolly Pekin) and Mallard (Reba Quackentire).

I see a lot of you hold every answer under your wings, so I can't wait to have questions and concerns alleviated!

Also an avid gardener and dog dad of 4!

Hope everyone has a great night/day. Can't wait to talk to everyone!

This one in the pic is a lab mix. He's the only one allowed near them because he likes caring for them. The others are huskies and springer spaniel mix. All rescues. 😁
My old 14 year boy "Mom I'll bring the bird, Mom can I?

Welcome back to the wonderful world of raising chickens, Jeremy! Sounds like they, the ducks and those rescue dogs give you plenty to do in your "free time" -- if ever you have any :).

Nicely named birds -- I especially like Reba Quackentire!

This is a great group of folks, and there's always someone -- night or day -- ready and willing to talk about chickens.

Welcome to BYC; thanks for joining our flock!
