Hey, back at you Riley, and welcome to the BYC community - we are nothing like FB. Good luck with your incubation/hatch. Raised from chicks and accustomed to you, your birds will be fine.
Be sure to check our Learning Center articles @BoundlessLove linked above. They are immensely helpful!
You can do all the tricks of getting those chicks to bond with you, then they turn into teenagers, and you're like a monster to them. Then they mature into grown chickens, and you'll find your sweetest ones.
Soft voices, don't approach from above them, slow movements, all help them stay/get calmer when little though.
Welcome to BYC. Good luck with your hatch. Please share pictures of your new chicks when they hatch. If you have any questions share them, folk here are very knowledgeable.
Welcome! Nice to meet you! I've got bamtams as well, 11 right now, between 2 weeks and 7 weeks old. I'm adding 4 more this weekend, and a group of 6 standard chicks at the end of the month.
I only have one OEGB, Shirley. She's a BB Red. And she is some kind of sweet! She's happy to be picked up and held, she'll eat from my hand, she's quiet and docile. She's a great bird. She's one my 7 week olds. This is her.
