My name's is Ashley and in April, I brought home 6 chicks to surprise my kids with, and a few days later, had realized that I had started my own addiction. We've since acquired 16 birds and lost two along the way. However our remaining 14 are so fun!! We've got 2 roosters for sure, and the other 3 we have in question aren't quite big enough for us to tell. They free range during the day, they love to eat our tomatoes and blueberries, and the return to their roost at dusk. They've also recently started laying, and we are getting about 7 eggs a day on average, all brown too! Not so sure on breeds so if anyone has a clue, please chime in :) thanks and I am so excited to learn from here.

Hi Ashley. Welcome to BYC. You have gorgeous birds. I love that black frizzle bird.

Hi Ashley,
welcome-byc.gif

The one in the lower left corner looks like a Red Sex Link (they are egg laying machines!) and the white one right below her looks like a Leghorn (another egg machine, lol). And the black fluffy one is a Frizzle. Someone with more experience identifying breeds can help you with the others but you might have an Easter Egger also (in the upper right? idk, I'm kind of guessing there).

It's nice to have you here, I hope the kids are enjoying the chickens and those great eggs.

Thanks for joining us!

Welcome to BYC, Ashley. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a beautiful flock. Thanks for posing the pics.) You might also want to post them on our What Breed or Gender is This? section in the Forum (chicken breeds) and let our experts there identify the your different breeds for you. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

My what a gorgeous flock you have assembled. Very well done
