Been reading for a while, gathering some great knowledge here at BYC. Been anticipating a move to the country for some time, my wife and twin two year olds finally made it back out here where the sky gets dark at night. And they leg you have chickens! We just purchased two black sex links, a RI red, and three others my daughters chose, that for the life of me I can't remember. They love em, and so do we. Our 10x10 out building is being converted to a coop, and we are attaching a 10x8 run out the side. Looking forward to some homegrown organic eggs and natural tick destroyers. Glad to be here!

How fun for your twins to grow up with chickens! Kids and chickens just seem to go together.
