I recently (few months) started turning my great Grandparents farm back into one. Started with bantams. S.o.wanted some layers. Youngest kid wanted a goat. Got 2 and now maybe a third lol. 2 goats were rehomings. We were already overwhelmed so I found someone with seramas. I wanted 4. She brought 9. I couldn't decide. Took em all. Went to the auction afterwards and the youngest picked a box of 8 misc banty chicks and I got another Roo! I'd like to post the chick pics and see if anyone could figure them out. I think some are mixed. I'll take pics in the morning. They just shut up after the last goat bottle feeding (mother abandoned her). Thanks in advance. We've gotten good advice from this site the past couple months!

so glad you have joined us.

Sounds like a wonderful experience for you and your family to be able to obtain and re-establish a farm on your Grandparents land :)
And imagine it was a lot of really hard work to accomplish.

Good luck with the new adventure.

Thanks everyone and thanks for the tip on the state thread. Yes, hard work but has brought a life back to the place that it hasn't had in a long time. My barns 'spirit' is happy to house animals again. It had been bored of family trash lol. Thanks again
