New girl from FL here.

I grew up having chickens and life got in the way and we eventually got out of everything. Well, I miss that way of life so it is back to my farm girl ways and time to start over. We are working on a new coop and then getting a new flock. Not sure what kind yet, but I do know I want egg layers. We used to have a random-mixed flock, but I am looking to only have a single breed this go around. Maybe expand out and do a second breed in a second coop once things get going well.

I am thinking about the Wyandotte. Those silver laced ones are just gorgeous.
