Hey, everyone. Looks like I'm a new member, but don't be fooled. I used to post here a lot, a hecka lot, back maybe... six to ten years ago? My username was iamcuriositycat, in case there's anyone remembers me. I have LOOOoonggggg since lost not only the login info but also no longer use the email address, so here I am under a new name.
And, in fact, I've changed my legal name since then, too, so it's like I'm brand new even though I'm not. Still have all the years of breeding backyard chickens and ducks and quail and geese.
I had to quit for a long time after the recession in 2008-9 destroyed our finances and, in 2013, we lost the home and became renters for a long time. Then I got busy with other things. Now I'm getting back into it small-scale with some baby quail I just hatched out of a small flock I bought last year. And 22 mixed-breed chickens hatching this weekend from eggs a friend (whom I met through this community all those years ago) gave me.
Anyway. I got some cute as heck babies in the brooder (quail) and soon-to-be-cute-as-heck chickens in the incubator. Looking forward to contributing to these forums once again. Hope everyone is well and staying safe in these challenging times.
Peace and warmth to all.
