Heyy everyone, new chickie moma here 
Super excited (and terrified) to start my journey in keeping chickens and happy to be apart of this community!
We purchased 10 pullets a week ago, what I thought were all Australorps, but seems we have 1 unknown with feathery feet. They are adorable and love them all already! Theyāll be kept as layers, not ready to process meat birds yet... originally we planned on starting the flock next year but my friend is quite persistent - 0 chicks turned to 6 chicks and multiplied to 10 chicks by the time I made it to check out
My hubbie and 3 pups live in Northeast PA with the intention of starting our homestead on some acreage up here.
I joined the community because, well, thereās so much to learn! Itās so helpful having others who are more experienced to reach out to with questions (thank you all in advance!)
