You can't see it in the pic, but i used a large plastic container. I used a jig saw and cut out a section. I used the section i cut out and glued it with expoxy to the middle. I put the food on one said, and the water on the other. They walk in, and go back and forth between the two... It works good at keeping the food dry, and the mess all contained in one nice spot that is easy to hose out. I've made a couple, here's the one in my sun room:
