(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I used to keep and show a few chickens when I was a kid and my mum and aunt havenhad chickems for years and been helping them out more lately so just getting back into it again really
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 4 ayam cemani 1 hen about 1 year old 2 young hens about 3 months old and a Cockerell about 3 months. I also have 6 ayam cemami eggs from a different breader and bloodlines and 4 Derbyshire red cap eggs aswell as 2 eggs laid by my hen so not sure of fertilisation? In my incubator
(3) What breeds do you have?
Many cross breeds as we love them fully free range . But I have ayam's and hopefully dome Derbyshire red cap's , a copper maran and a very small chicken of unknown origin or parentage called bumble
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The ayams are so engaging personality wise , very intelligent!, inquisitive! & bond very easily
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Fabrication -welding - wood , alsorts i just enjoyed making things, motor bikes, I'm enjoying the peace of the countryside
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live on a small holding in Derbyshire (High peak) with family, we have dogs , ancient horses, some chickens some fish in a pond and bearded lizard
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Was looking for a chicken forum where hopefully no question is stupid or at least the info already exists if looked for in the threads, and quite frankly you seemed to be the only chuck forum that seemed to meet what I was looking for
