hi group,i have posted pics before, and have heard from the farm[leggs],from where i got these guys, and fully repect the input.
    BUT,am now hearing different conflicks!
i have 2 8 month old peaocks, which i was told were an indian blue and a spaulding.
the indian blue,i am sure is ,but the spauding!!!!
he has dark blue shoulders, like a black shouldered, but he acordind to the peafowl assiacion website says that BS,dont get their blackshoulders til they are 2 years old?
the pics ican find, look like a spaulding, but his neck is not green!
but it i not blue, like my IB,a sort of green/blue?
could this be a low %spalding?
from the peafowl site, saw that spauldings were bigger birds?
mine, was from the same hatch date[got them all as day olds]
but the so called spaulding= was always bigger

Gary he could very well be a spalding and like you said he could be a low % one. Some things to look for other than height is also if his crest is tighter looking than the other peacock. Also if he develops a bit of yellow on his face that could also be a hint. As day olds was the one you think might be a spalding darker in color than the other peafowl you got? Sometimes the spalding chicks can be a bit darker then the India blue chicks.
