Hi! Glad to be joining this apparently thriving community of chicken lovers. I’ve had a small flock of chickens for 5 or so years and dabbled a few times before that. I also have Cotournix quail that I started raising a bit over a year ago. My grown up ladies are dominique and (I think) a game hen rescued from the post office parking lot. I’ve hatched chickens under broodies and incubated quail but I’m about to attempt my first incubator chicken hatch. Looking to try out some different heat tolerant breeds (I’m in the south) and have a go at raising some birds for meat in addition to the eggs.

Looking forward to some good chicken chatter here. It’s tough to get much social time these days so need to try and be less of a Luddite
