Hi every one! We have five chickens in our "flock" - three Rhode Island Reds and two Buff Orpingtons. We love these hens! We're in our second year with them. The 3 reds we raised from chicks and the 2 buffs we got later that same summer (2018). Anyway, we've had dozens of questions, but right now, our biggest issue is that they've stopped laying...completely! I know they slow down in the winter. Throughout the summer we generally get 2, 3, 4 eggs a day - only rarely would we not get at least one egg. Last winter we rarely went a day without at least 1-2 eggs. However, they (the reds) started molting (again). We haven't gotten an egg since November 10th. A couple had started molting a week or so before that. Is this normal? Thanks!
