New to chickens last year. Had 8, went through the CA fires, and the heatwaves and lost 2 to a Bobcat this Spring.
Have 8 new baby girls being raised, at the moment just 1 week old.
We have a mixed batch: 3 buff orpingtons, 1 barred Cochin, 2 barred rocks in the older gals.
New girls are welsummer, welbar, black Andalusian, Easter egger, a silver laced, and a gold laced Wyandotte’s, dominique and a Cochin- possibly blue but more likely splash but time will tell.
they are well lived girls and more pet and chicken therapy but we do get decent eggs unless they are having broody momma moments. Of which we have had our fair share this year.
