Hi everyone!! I've been trolling around for several months and have officially signed up. We got 6 pullets last spring. We lost 2 for some reason, so are down to 4. We opted to try to hatch some local eggs with not much luck (curiosity got the dog). But I had 1 hatch. I was gifted 6 (lost 1), and now have 6 (Barnyard Cross), 5 week old chicks, pullets, cockerels. Since, the hatch was so bad, I also got 10 Buff Orpington sexed chicks (now 1 week old). So that puts our total to 4 Barred Rock Hens, 1 White Guinea, 6 Barnyard Crosses, & 10 Buff Orpingtons Chicks. The chickens are all used for egg laying for 3 families.
