I'm Joanne I don't have any chickens although I want them. It's just that we are a wide open area and there are a lot of hawks and eagles flying around. I do have 3 dogs and 3 cats and live with my husband and 1 of our daughters in Maine.

Check out the predator forum. YOU CAN predator proof your coop and have a safe run for your chickens. They do not need to play hide and seek (and get eaten) free ranging.
