my name is Risi. I have 60 acres were I have a 40x50 pond with ducks and geese. I have 7 horses 5 of which are mustangs and rescues. I raise my own pork every year and just got my breeder cow yesterday and I’m really excited. I’m here to post about my most recent rescue. Last Saturday I was brought a marganser hatchling that had gotten separate form it’s Mom on a fast local river in my area. When I got her, Mergi, I didn’t know a thing about mergansers. When I research the only conversation I could find was on here and it seemed to be more questions than answers. Mergi is now 7 days old and going strong. I thought I’d come share what I’ve learned and how I’ve been successful and some of the challenges we’ve dealt with.
