We are a mother son team who just started getting serious about chi Ken's this year as chickens are my son's happy place. He has social chalked ges but loves the birds and they got him into chicken 4H and chicken showing and he has now found his tribe. He shows D'uccles and I j uth st bought hff t a pair of bantam sumatras 1 month ago.

Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? 14 years ago. My son is 8 and j.g as really gotten into them in the past 3 years. He lives for them.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Roughly 55

(3) What breeds do you have? D'uccles, bantam sumatras, silver Phoenix, aerucaunas, and whatever else he's rescued. My son takes in unwanted birds. He believes they should all have a loving home.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Wat5thing the fluffy butts. And seeing the joy it gives my son and seeing him succeed.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Hiking. Knitting


(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Years. But since we just got into showing, 4H and Yepa and stepped up our game it's time to stop lurking.
