Hi all!

Hello! Welcome to BYC! We also have a Buff Orphington and a couple of Golden laced Wyandottes, all very pretty birds! I was in charge of the HVAC building automation controls at our local school corp. Cool stuff!
That's really cool! The industrial stuff always amazes me. My setup at home is OpenHab, Z-Wave, crossed fingers, and duct tape :)

And yeah, they are really pretty birds!

Thank you all for the warm welcome - you all are so kind! I've been check out the learning center and there's so much info there! I know I'll be consulting it all the time :)

I neglected to mention where I'm from in my post. I'm in West Virginia - hi to any fellow Mountaineers out there!
You can add your location to your profile, like you'll see most of us have. It's easy!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Congratulations on your new flock, this is definitely the place to be when you keep chickens! You can chat with your BYC neighbors here in your state thread... https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/anyone-in-wv.10761/

Make yourself at home here and ask as many questions as needed.

Welcome to our community!

I enjoyed my job! At least most days! Then every once in a while I would lose communication in parts of a building. Usually IT monkeying around with my connection in an MDF room! If I didn`t already have too many hobbies It would be fun to do some automation at home!
