I'm a city girl gone country. Bought a hobby farm when our youngest was a senior and driving. Started with 15 black australorp 4 years ago. Currently have 9 of my original girls and they are my pets,3 americana,3 cochin,6 Dominique and 11 5 month old australorp, 3 turkeys, 5 cows,2 pygmy goats and a great pyrenees named George. We also have 3 grandsons that love coming to help on the farm. Learning a lot on here about everything I can. My animals are all spoiled rotten and we love them all.

Hi,I haven't been on for quite awhile. Have trouble navigating on this. All of a sudden something, I'm thinking now maybe an owl. Got 2 of my banties and last night think it went after a guinnea. Thing is they don't go in the barn or coop at night. They roost on the top over hang of the deck. All of them now. Heard noise last night. Guineas were on the deck, scared to death. They wouldn't go back up. Which makes me think it was something from the air. Thought 2 other chickens were gone but one was hiding and the other turned up in the morning. Found feathers from g. Think it was an owl?

Sorry about the attack. You might ask this question in our Predators and Pests section. They are good at determining the predators....https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/13/predators-and-pests

Good luck and I hope you can get your babies safe soon! :)
