Edit, August 18. My girls (4 Buff Orpington, 4 Barred Rock) are all about 14 weeks old, and started laying just about all at once! So cool. Pic Attached.

Just wanted to officially sign up, stop in and say thanks!! I’ve learned a bunch about my girls from this site, so it’s long overdue I did. In March, I got 8 chicks and today I got my first two EGGS! Amateur tip: Don’t send your Black Sex Link “roosters” to the Ol’ Stockpot in the Sky prematurely. They may just turn out to be mislabeled Barred Rock HENS!
