Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Getting her a friend is a good idea. Chickens are gregarious and like company. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Do you know what kind of chicken she is?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

How nice of you to give her a home! I am sure she will appreciate a nice safe home to stay in especially at night when the scary things do come out.

Enjoy her and welcome to our flock!

Out to pasture
Please post photos so we can try to ID the breed and gender. Most roaming birds have been dumped out deliberately, so I tend to think it may be a rooster.
