Snacks are fine to feed. I find the chicken digestive system to be very interesting. Young chicks, I want to eat more protein than treats usually have, but I will get them used to snacks as it teaches them there is other things besides high priced feed that they will learn to love. No such thing as spoiling your chickens, I don't care what anyone tries to say.

I let my chickens free range and have access to feed all day. Every body may do it differently but thats my way.
