Hi everyone, just wanna ask if there's any people here who loves IT, computing or programming here? I personally loves IT and i am taking cyber security courses, I've also built my own gaming pc and learnt python, php and some javascript well, I am planning to write a nice python program for my chicks and i love to work with raspberry pi to create projects. On the other hand, i love building diy simple thinfgs like robotic arms, arduino robots!

I work in IT Product Management.

That means that in 50% of the conversations I’m in, I’m the most technical person in the conversation.

In the other 50%, I’m the least technical person in the conversation.
:D

I get paid to be the other 50% of your conversations and help our product managers fend off "brilliant ideas" from people with zero understanding of the software development lifecycle or what's involved in daily operations for large enterprise companies. :)

I've been in IT for 20 years or so, mostly Microsoft, Cisco, etc. There was once upon a time I enjoyed taking all those courses but not anymore. I've worked at the same company for 17 years in the same role, we're a small team of 4 IT people so have to have a fairly wide range of skills if not an expert in anything.

IT isn't a passion but I do enjoy it and it's been very helpful helping my wife's small business, though now I'm their unofficial IT guy as well which usually means updating the website, etc.

New chicken related project coming up though - installing external wifi so that I can put chicken cams up in the run! :)

Yeah, self-deprecating humor on my part. I have this habit of answering "yes, yes I do" when people ask if I have a better idea, and that tends to wind up with me in leadership roles. I guess I'm OK at it, no one has found any of the bodies yet... :)
