Just wanted to introduce myself.
We have just bought moved from the city and bought a house in Mornington, Australia.
As we have a big of room in the garden, we decided to incorporate a coop into the landscaping.
Saw the Chick Inn, love the look and did my own version (in the process).
Once complete, we will start off with 4 chickens.
But with C19 rampant, chickens chicks are in short supply - so will have to wait.
So
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Totally a noobie - this will be my first experience owning birds.
Obviously we have had pets - like cats or dogs.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None - would like to start out with 4 and go from there
(3) What breeds do you have?
Thinking of the Hy-Line Brown Laying Hens from Talkinghens - but will see if they get any chicks back in
The chickens are 17weeks old, so straight into the coop
Not sure if that’s good or bad fir a first time experienc!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
A life style change for us as a family
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
DIY, gardening and spending time with my 7month old
His laugh is contagious

We have a cat called Archie, his a Russian Blue and the misses wants a Weimaraner dog to complete the family
