Hiiii long time lurker first time account holder. I've been following this page for many many moons but I finally couldn't take the "eh? Are you really a hen?" With my Feverolles. I copied the template and will answer accordingly

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am not new to chickens, however it has been many years and we only ever kept leghorns. In March I got my very first flock to myself.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I have 6

(3) What breeds do you have?

2 Blue Australorps
2 Salmon Feverolle
2 Buff Orpingtons

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

I love that they are little gardeners, I love that they have such wide and varied personalities, I love that they are pretty independent but they like when I come to visit...the list is long, really

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I am a hiker, gardener, hobby paleontologist, and enjoy indoor crafts and cooking

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am married with a little terrier who thinks he's a chicken and two goldfish that think they perform at SeaWorld. I work in government administration, and volunteer for paleontology organizations. I'm an avid supporter of food security and education, which is how I got into chickens, but I actually originally grew up on a farm.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I've always frequented the forums because there is a serious breadth of knowledge here and I always knew that I was going to have chickens, just took many years of planning to finally execute.
I appreciate that there are so many robust topics, lik how to raise proper city chickens, but ultimately, a coworker told me my Feverolles are both boys and I really didn't think they were so I wanted more opinions.
