Hello all!

I've been visiting this site for six months now for advice, but it just dawned on me to become a member!

I'm a brand new "chicken farmer" and have LOTS of questions! My husband and I got 50 Delaware chicks and they are coming up on 16 weeks. We are definitely doing eggs, and will attempt butchering our roos for meat in the next few weeks (ugh, idk, I've grown attached!).

The chickens are really "my thing", as we also have a herd of Boer goats, but they're mainly my Hubby's "thing".

I'm excited to be here and look forward to sharing and learning from all of you pros!

butchering isn't so bad. It dosn't really bother me once they are actually dead...(taking them from life to death is my Dh's job though, and he does it painless and quick)

And there is nothing better than cooking up a meal grown at home!
