yesterday, the turkey was fine and eating but this evening around lunch. i went to feed them and it had gotten stuck behind a barrel
i do not know when yesterday it got stuck but can say it was after 5pm . after i got her out she seemed weak and would not eat and had greenish brown poop stuck to its butt and was sleepy so i separated it and put food and water with some vitamins in it i use for chicks when i went back out in about 2 hours it was dead .but the other one in my chicken coop is fine.
this is the first time i have tried rasing turkeys and was doing good till today. i bought these two as day olds and had not lost either till today so any advice

thanks for reading and have a great day

it seemed stuck but not sure it kept trying to walk forward but there was no way out and all the other chickens and the other turkey seem fine,

When animals know they are going to die (or need some down time, like injury etc.)
they go to their safe zone.
In the wild it would be thick bush, the thickest they could find.
It is a protection area from weather and predators.

A good friend once shot a 6 point whitetail and had to follow its blood trail.
When he finally found it dead. It was laying down in a bed with both of the same deers antler sheds from the season before (5 point) right beside its head.
It was in the thickest bush around, his safe zone.

So did it get inured from getting stuck or did it go there because it was looking for a safe zone because something was already wrong?
I would tend to think the later.

that's possible i believe it is the same turkey that had leg problems at 4 weeks and other issues as a pullet but it seemed to be fine for the last few months just a little shorter than the other one but still about ten pounds
