Hi from SE Michigan!
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had chickens around 25 years ago, recently moved to a home with land and decided it's time to get chickens again.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
16 chickens
(3) What breeds do you have?
Jersey Giants, Silver Lace Wyandotte and Brown Leghorns
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love birds of all kinds, chickens are pretty cool, give us fresh eggs and great for insect control. We don't raise them for meat.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
gardening
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married with 3 adult children, 8 grandchildren. I've run a cat rescue for over 15 years.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
