Hi everyone, I am a new member and have been raising chickens in central Vermont for 3 years.

I have a rooster for the first time. So far he is a sweet guy. But, he crows and my husband is worried that the neighbors will complain to the selectboard. Do the no crow collars really work?

Hello, and welcome to BYC. Personally, I do not like the no crow collars. Worst case scenario is that they can choke and kill the bird.

Welcome to BYC! You won't regret joining. I really, really would not advise no crow collars. They will slowly suffocate your rooster. It is much more humane to re home him or something. Have a great day!

Welcome to BYC! I've had mixed success with no-crow collars but have ultimately decided that I would rather re-home or eat roosters rather than to try and keep them quiet.
