Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and am so glad you all are here! We have 3 happy hens in our backyard and 8 hens and 1 rooster at my mother in laws house about 5 minutes from here. We have had success and failure (a hawk in my neighborhood) but we *love* our backyard birds. They are so much fun!
We are a homeschooling family in Texas where we are getting waaaay too much rain right now.

Sorry to hear about your loss to the hawk. We've got hawks around here, but they are either too timid or our birds are too fat, so we've not had problems yet.
