HI everyone i can't believe i have waited this long to post this but i ve been so busy with my new babies!!! So Two weeks ago i got one buff orpington, one blue Andalusian and 2 barred rock babies. They are the cutest chicks ever! My Blue Andalusian had really bad pasty butt when i got her but that was cleared up after two days and all is well since. The other three had no issues. My blue is very small compared to my others and i Love that. She is a huge eater and drinker! So far its been a joy having them. My buff Matilda is flying around the brooder and she lands on top of the water dispenser and so i can no longer use it because she makes it spills out a lot and i don't want any moisture on the floor of the brooder. Now she is filling the water dish with pine shavings constantly so i have to clean their water dish out every 45 min so that they have water to drink.. This is my only complaint. I know that chickens are changing my life. I stopped working last year and its been so hard on me. I was a in-home Daycare provider and loved my job and miss it. I have had two major back surgeries and looking at a third, that is why i can't work anymore. SO the chickens are really helping me with that. They love to go outside and always stick together. They all have found bugs so its interesting to see what they find. ( Yes they are on grit
)My Buff is the Head Chick in charge for sure! She acts like a Mama to them and is always checking on them it is so adorable. My profile picture is of three of their backsides which are SO cute!! I named them all after the Grandmothers in my family. They all have names that start with M's so i thought it was cute.I hope you enjoy my pictures. There is one with our tortoise who wondered what they were and then sniffed them and then couldn't be bothered! We are building them a large tractor this weekend and starting on their coop. The girl in the pictures in my Daughter Maddison she is 11 and i can't keep her away from the chickens ,she handles them a lot and they are bonded to her. They follow her around the backyard it is very cute! Thanks for reading everyone!!!
