And would that rule out MG? Or no?If these are from yesterday/today, then I agree, it still looks like she has sinus infection.
If you look inside the beak at the roof of her beak, is the choanal slit clear of mucous or debris?
Not necessarily. And would that rule out MG? Or no?
I keep forgetting to get pictures. But I think her eye is less swollen, but she still has the same amount of swelling in between the nostril and eye.
I'll have to look tomorrow! When I first noticed her swelling I looked in her mouth and it was clear.
Alrighty, well I hope they don't have it.Not necessarily.
Without testing, you can't know for sure what is causing the swelling.
It's been going on for a while though. You could try a different medication to see if that makes a difference.
You can wait a little longer if she's doing o.k. otherwise.Alrighty, well I hope they don't have it.
What medication would you recommend? Should I try it or wait longer?
She's acting totally fine and is okay! You can wait a little longer if she's doing o.k. otherwise.
Keep the eye cleaned like you are doing.
Baytril would be the next step I'd think. It's a stronger antibiotic and will treat most bacterial infections.
Yes, that's correct. She's acting totally fine and is okay!
I will continue with the eye.
Oh! I do have that! Got it a bit ago for one of my hens that has salpingitis or EYP, she is very bloated... she's had it since summer last year. I just gave her her dose, along with one of my older hens who's lethargic, skinny, and has very yellow droppings. So I've got a few ill chickens, unfortunately. Doing my best with them.
Dosage is 0.05ml per pound, twice a day for five days, correct?
