I'm from Tacoma WA and I have 14 hens and a rooster (who attacked me a couple weeks ago)
I'm still pretty new to chickens, we've had them for about a year and a half.

We have a few backyard chickens from neighbors and some bought from a local feed store. 2 Rhode Island reds, 2 Wyandottes, a cuckoo muran from the original flock, this spring we added 4 americanas, 2 more rhode Island reds, 2 murans and a black and brown not sure what breed she is.

I found this page just trolling through the web last year researching all there is to know about hatching and raising chickens

We also have a couple myotonic goats to keep our chickens company and two bichon pups and a standard poodle. I have been learning and experimenting with healthy clean recipes and living a healthy life. Currently I am a customer service banker.

We've been married for 27 years and have 3 kids. Our oldest is serving in the Army and getting ready to be deployed, the other 2 kids are teenagers in high school.

G’Day from down under Eleanor :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
