My name is Liz.
I am a single parent of 2 grown boys. Both married and my oldest has the most beautiful daughter ever! (yep a little bias! LOL)
I love hiking and camping and anything outdoors. I also paint and draw and love doing any crafts.
I had rescue chickens about 10 years ago. I found 11 chickens wondering my yard and they did not leave and no one claimed them so my neighbor and I kept them. I had them for almost 5 years and had to move. I could not keep them because I did not have the coop yet so I gave them to a friend who had chickens. (They laid for 7 years!) Miss those girls.
I finally was able to get more chickens. Built a big run, about 16 by 24. Bought a Rubbermaid shed for their coop. Built some nice nesting boxes and perches for them.
I now have 18 girls about 3 1/2 months old to date.
