I'm a brand new chicken owner as of two days ago! We have fourteen pullets right now, and are going to get a few straight run barred rocks just as soon as they come in.

Right now we have 8 RIRs, 2 buff orpingtons, 2 amaracaunas, and 2 silver laced cochins. They are so sweet. Of course I'm worried about everything, analyzing their poop and all that. I'll try to attach a picture of one of them that I took yesterday, and if it works I'll add some more.

Thanks you guys! Last month I got a new camera for my birthday, so that and new chicks are a dangerous combination. I'm still trying to figure out how to work the camera so I'm not sure how to get the light right all the time. Sometimes I get lucky. And sometimes photoshop salvages them.

If only I could figure out how to get them to stop pooping on the sheets I lay out for pictures...
