Hi fellow chicken lovers! My name is Nicole and I am a very new owner of one dozen chickens. Tonight 4 more hatched and we have 2 more to go. We ordered Ayam Cemani eggs from an online breeder and so far we have been doing great with our hatchlings! Tonight one of the eggs hatched , and to our surprise he/she looked MUCH different than the rest! A lot larger, the belly shape is different and the beak is also different. Since we have ZERO clue about this I was wondering if you all might be able to pretty please help us out? I am not sure if I am even in the proper thread. So before I go posting pictures I thought I'd make sure with the back yard members first! Thank you SOOO much for your help! -Nicole

It sounds like maybe someone goofed up when shipping your eggs. Sometimes it's difficult to tell breed until the chicks are a bit older but it doesn't hurt to take a look now.

This is the little fella. The rest that hatched are fully black (skin included) this guys beak, skin and body is much different than the rest (and his feet are GIANT)!

I'm going to guess Black Australorp...she looks like the ones we have when they were small.
