Hi everyone! I am new to BackYard Chickens, but I love it so much! I am a first time chick owner, and I have six chicks that are 4 weeks old. How many chickens do you have, and what is your favorite breed?

I have 3 RIR
10 ameraucana my ameraucana are my favorite of the ones I have
3 black tailed white japanese
2 black marans
3 old english game birds these are a close second

of all the breeds I love ayam cemani

Hi Sophia, welcome to BYC! I have 6 hens and so far my Wellsummer is my favorite

my Ancona is cute also, she follows me around and "chats" to me lol. I also have 3 Black Australorp chicks that are 2 weeks old. They are suppose to make nice pets also, so we shall see.
What breeds do you have? And do you have a favorite yet?

I have 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Barred Rocks, and 2 Columbian Rock Crossed. My favorite so far is Buff Orpington because they are friendly, curious, and today one fell asleep in my hand.

That's sweet, 2 of my older girls are Barred Rocks. Buff Orpingtons were on my "want" list, but the guy I get my chicks from had the Black Orpingtons first so I got them. They were on my list also.
