Hi everyone!

Wait till you discover what great broodies, silkies can be. They love to sit on/hatch eggs better than laying them. If you don't have a rooster(for fertile eggs) you can slip fertile eggs of any breed under a "brooding" silkie and she'll raise them as her own.

We have a rooster bit I may try putting some quail eggs under them when the time comes... Everything I've read said that quail don't sit on eggs very often.
