Just a hunch, but I'm on the list too despite also not participating. For me its cuz I replied to the thread, pretty sure they pinged anyone who chatted in here.
That is what I assumed, too. I'm also on that list, despite not having any eggs involved. But I did post somewhere in this thread.

Okay. Why am I on the Hatch-Along participants?

Perhaps I should have named the spoiler "Who Replied Tag List". Sorry for the confusion.

My 2nd set of quail eggs were due to hatch today (I set a dozen eggs this time), and woke up to 10 hatched, one zipping, and one pipping. After I got back from taking the pup to the groomers, those two had finished hatching. So 12/12 hatched! It was a full dry hatch in an older model still-air Hovabator...I did not add any water even on lockdown.

That's interesting. I dry hatch chicken eggs, but always increase humidity at lockdown. What was the humidity without adding water?

Day 18 (ok, 17 and a half) for the 9 eggs. Since the previous batch with the same egg size were a bit early, I stopped turning them last night. Candled them this morning and there were some movement. These guys seem to be on schedule to arrive day 21.

The next eggs I've ordered will be sent on monday, so the incubator will only be empty for a few days. No point in an empty incubator, is there? :lau Muscovy ducks this time.

Mine has been running since late January. I'm surprised it hasn't died on me yet. 🤞

3 broodies still sitting eggs, no chicks yet. This is worse than incubating since I can't candle them to check progress.

I found a few stragglers that one of them wasn't able to cover so I popped them in the incubator (evening temps in the 60's). I plan to put them back under her if I hear peeping or see a pip.

I also saw couple broken eggs in one of the broody's nest. I couldn't tell if they were freshly laid by one of the other girls or a marked egg.
