My name is Frank. at present I have no chickens but have had a few in past. I presently live in Newport,NC very near the coast of North Carolina but plan to move to the foothills soon. My plans are to build a coop and run and have chickens then. I used to have chickens in a chicken tractor that I built but gave it up when we moved here. We have 10 acres in the foothills and that is why we plan to move back there so there is plenty of room for the coop and run.

Our place in western NC is about 1/2 wooded and the rest clear. It is about 30 miles west of Winston-Salem, N,C. Also most is sloped as it is in the foothills. Thinking about some Buff Orpingtons among others . That will probably depend on what I find available but will be looking for brown egg layers.
