I am fairly new to raising chickens, the main reason we boughyvthem was my daughter is in FFA and is going to show a couple and she liked them so much we added more than we planned. Right now we have 18 chickens. We have a variety of breeds, a silkie, Cochin, bantam, barred rock, Rhode island red, legbar cross, Asian cross, and a few more that we aren't 100% on. Our chicks are pretty fun and interesting, and we can all do stuff with them as a family. There is my husband, me, my 2 boys and my 2 girls, 17, 15, 11, 11 years old. I have been checking this site periodically when I have had any questions I was curious about and thought it would be best to join.
