What kinds of predators do you have in your area? I never would have thought a fox could break through glass, but I suppose it's possible. I'm so sorry about your quail.

What kinds of predators do you have in your area? I never would have thought a fox could break through glass, but I suppose it's possible. I'm so sorry about your quail.

My area quite close to the city center. I have quite long and narrow garden and fences left and right. I tried not to think it was my neighbor cat again although he had tasted the blood of the quails once perhaps he ranging for more? But impossible that he could breaks the glass.

I also have an allotment nearby where once I saw a fox spying over the chicken coops there but disappeared soon as he saw me approaching. So I would have suspect the fox came and break the glass instead but how did he get over the fences. I suppose they are very clever aren't they? Oh well, can't think any other animals would want to catch the quail's.

I know fox can jump high, dig, and have great patience in waiting for opportunies. I'm not sure if they can climb but, I know I've seen one leap a 42" high fence from a standing position like it was nothing.
