Hi My name is Alison and I raised my first chicks over 10 years ago. Today I have a small flock of four hens, three Rhode Island Reds and one Barred Rock. My hens are getting older and I am looking for some new hens and am thinking about Buff Orpingtons, I like brown eggs, and friendly chickens that can tolerate zone six weather. I am married with three sons and a one year old grandddaughter that is the light of my life.
I enjoy cooking, sewing, gardening and chickens. I would own many more chickens but my backyard isn't big enough - lol. I am always interested in making new friends with similar interests and am excited about this website.
