I have already learned so much from reading on here so I thought it was high time to create an account & introduce myself.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, I got my little babies on March 21st.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 8
(3) What breeds do you have? I have 4 Rhode Island Reds and 4 Buff Orpingtons that I suspect are actually ISA Browns.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Their personalities!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Reading, camping, and making sad attempts at knitting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am married and we have a 9yo son. We also have a 6yo German Shorthaired Pointer, who is fascinated by our chickens but is not to be trusted with them yet, lol.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? By searching Pinterest for coop ideas.
